Degrees in ultrasound technology range for two to four years with medical classroom lectures and clinical training in science of sonography, the study about the procedure of scanning various parts of the body and analyzing image results.

To obtain an associate or bachelor degrees in ultrasound technology, students need a sound understanding of anatomy and methods of scanning different body parts. Most degrees in ultrasound technology offer a curriculum that includes studies in general physics, abdominal and vascular sonography, obstetric sonography and fetal anomalies.
